THE CONCEPT:
Everyone loves a great sunrise image – the beautiful oranges and reds in the sky are so peaceful and serene. This Smoky Mountains sunrise photograph is 5 separately exposed images (shot on a tripod so they would all line up later), and then merged together to make one perfectly exposed image in Adobe Lightroom.
THE STORY:
This Smoky Mountains photo happened quite by accident – it seems all the best ones do!! I had picked up my friend/photography buddy at her house in Wears Valley in The Smoky Mountains. We were racing toward Cades Cove for sunrise, when I saw this scene right down the road from her house. It stopped us in our tracks, and we quickly pulled over to the side of the road, set up our cameras on tripods and got this incredible image.
